On day 11 we had to backtrack just a little to go see the Quobba Blow Holes since we came through too late the day before to see them on the way. It’s about 70km’s or 50 minutes drive from the Wintersun Tourist Park back up to the blowholes, making it a two hour round
It was lovely to wake up just after sunrise and hear the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks right next to the . We wandered out to the beach just after sunrise, before most people were up, and the footpath along the shore was just so calming and relaxing. It was a great
Kalbarri itself is a beautiful little town, with white sandy beaches and a plethora of stunning scenery nearby. After leaving the Murchison River Caravan Park where we spent the night, our first stop was just across the road to see the beach. Kalbarri is located at the mouth of the Murchison River, and the town
The further south we travel the more touristy it becomes, but that certainly doesn’t detract from it. Monkey Mia is known for its wild dolphins, and within Monkey Mia itself, there is just one place to stay, the RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort.

They are open every night except Tuesday’s from 5 pm until 8:30 pm,
As I’m sure you know by now, we’ve been waking up quite early, and today was no exception. We had a beautiful morning to see, and the beach is just across the public car park from the caravan park, so we had the perfect location to get some beautiful sunrise photos.
If there is one thing you do in Australia besides Uluru/Ayers Rock, it’s the Horizontal Falls. Located at Talbot Bay in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia, I don’t think there is anything quite like this anywhere else. For the Kiwi’s, this is like Doubtful Sound, remote, hard to get to, and uniquely beautiful.
Day 5 was a welcome change. After 5 days of driving long distances, it was nice to spend the entire day just in Broome exploring the sights there. We got to watch the sunrise over Roebuck Bay looking back towards the West Australian coast.
